About MEMORIAL of YURI NIKULIN dog show, its winners, and how the breed Siberian Husky is changing, told us the FCI expert Lenka Frncova.
— Good afternoon, Lenka. I see you’re in a good mood. Tell us, what are your impressions about the last exhibition?
-Hello! I think that the dog show was prepared well. Large and spacious ring, responsible organizers and well-trained contestants allowed creating a special magic atmosphere!
— Yes, I agree, today exclusively high-class representatives’ breeds were represented. It must have been hard to choose a winner?
-Oh no, that you! The winner was visible from the first minutes. This is a dog with an amazing character. Once I saw his clear eyes, proud posture and perfect proportions, I had no doubts. The dog was well prepared and presented.
— As a professional you can accurately determine the absolute leader. Tell us more about your experience. How long have you been judging?
-I’ve been a judge for a long time. I can’t even say for sure. Initially I was a breeder, and has become the judge only later time. I judge the tests of hunting dogs and visited as an expert many activities in Europe and Asia.
— That is, in addition to everything you are also an experienced breeder?
-That’s right! I have been breeding for almost 35 years. And I focus only on healthy dogs in my breeding program. My first breed was a Slovak COP, now my husband and I have a small package of beagles and Jack Russell Terriers, which we devote all our free time. But I also have a tender love for the Siberian Husky.
— We are specialized in Siberian Husky. Can you say a few words about the dynamics of this breed: the number of participants is growing or decreasing?
-Siberian Husky is one of the most graceful and elegant representatives of the canine family. They are also attractive because they are smart enough. But God, look how beautiful they are! They are widespread now, it is a very popular breed. I met a huge number of representatives of the breed even in Thailand. So the number is constantly growing!
— What can you say about Husky in Russia? Are there any specific traits in dogs bred in our area?
– Husky is one of the leading positions in Russia. Almost all dogs have a smooth texture and body growth, correct shape of head and intelligent expression. Breeding in Russia is at a fairly high level.
— What signs do you think are the most important during the judging dog breed Siberian Husky?
– Husky should have a qualitative ratio of height and weight, it must be proportional to move correctly. Also the position and structure of the head and expression are important. But first of all Husky must move perfectly.
